very nice writeup.
do seem to have a point. i remember spending about an hour with oblivion just to try and get my character right, then about half hour playing then thought "i really dont like this game" fashion is everywhere. cant avoid it.

Ah man that cracked me up, good article.
The number of games ive played where you muck around with what is ultimately a fashion accessory is uncanny! to level up from all this fashion we might have to call for brand purchasing in-game :/ |

You've hit the nail on the head, Ninox! Most of my time in Oblivion was spent trying to make my character look like Garret, from the Thief series. And I only bought Guild Wars so I could drool over the outfits. *sigh*

Great write up.
You picked my favourite fashion addon in one as well. All cheer to great and wonderous invention, the BEER DISPENSING HAT, even though everyone else said it looked like a pimp hat.

Wonderful write-up, as always Ninox!
And so very true...Melski *had* to make a Guild Wars mesmer simply because of the lingerie-like armour ! Well at least I know what to wear to bed now....if only I had a body like that !Thanks for the good laugh and I look forward to hearing about the shopping . |

Love it.
Once you have a great outfit, what you need is... another great outfit. After you've been tromping around through buckets of gore you need some self expression. Does this skirt make my butt look fat I'll be spending a lot of time looking at it, it needs proper packaging

You know I think he's right to a degree.
I didn't think I was doing this until I thought of my latest game 9Dragons where I keep looking at a particular set of equips which would give me a specific look but the equips I have found are far far better for my character. ie. better stat increases. The temptation still draws me toward the change lucky I don't have the cash to do it.

I always liked that line from Pure Pwnage where Jeremy says that WoW is a game about dressing up your dolls.
