I'm not sure you're giving the Scrin enough credit. The Scrin air force is pretty strong.

I'm not sure you played the same game I did, at least not graphically. Comparatively speaking the graphics were average to decent AT BEST. You mentioned not having seen better graphics in an RTS so you clearly haven't played Company of Heroes OR Supreme Commander (or Medieval 2, for that matter). If you're going to use strong hyperbole like this I'd suggest you make sure you've played other games in the genre because this simply isn't true.
Had you suggested that you enjoyed the art direction of C&C 3, I could understand but in no way is this game even remotely state-of-the-art, graphically speaking. The animations, in particular, pale before the glory of CoH or Medieval 2 and that's a telling blow for many gamers.
The other harsh strike against this latest iteration of a venerable series is that if offers nothing new and is merely a re-hashing of former gameplay with no real improvements to offer. In a gaming landscape that includes amazing physics effects that actually matter in gameplay (Company of Heroes) or super-slick interface improvements such as the unlimited and seemless zoom/scroll feature of SupCom, should gamers really be blowing their money on rehashed gameplay with good, not great, graphics? Not really.
Obviously people have a fondness for the series and in that regard no one could fault them for buying this latest C&C game or even fault them for enjoying it but pitching it as the best in any single category is disingenuous in the extreme - it's simply years behind the most current RTS's in nearly every category.
That's not to say that you wrote a badly written review - it was short, sweet, and well-worded but I had to take strong exceptions to your conclusions.

whytefang, everyone is entitled to their opinions and i respect that. i have played supcom and coh, and i found that supcom was too uncoordinated with a poorly designed gui. my opinion, the explosions and effects surpassed what was offered as well in supcom. there was more diversity as well.
with coh, i found it to be a resource pig that used the same tilesets over and over. green ladnscapes over and over tends to get boriing pretty quick. yes looked pretty good, but bland.
and as for gameplay, i never said it revolutionised anything, ""just that Its not that it lacks a bit of creativity in playing, it’s just a very solid and refined way of taking the old strategies and using new units to annihilate the enemy."" and ""If you have played any other c+c game, you will feel right at home, with the click and drag controls to a third of the screen taken by build options.""
like i said, every1 is entitled to an opinion, i respect yours, but i beg to differ in my opinion.
thanx for commenting as well.

The game for me is a great addition to the already established storyline of NOD and GDI. I enjoy the stealth of Nod and the air power of the Scrim. GDI has the super weapon technology and the tank tech. that makes the game a challenge on all levels.

I can agree with you about the need for differing tilesets in CoH but realistically, based on the area and timeframe they cover with CoH, there really wouldn't be snow or mountainous maps so it's internally consistent in that regard.
I respect that you think it looks better than SupCom but I also suspect that your opinion in that regard might be related to the type of system you own. SupCom purposefully scales down the graphics to help your system run the game well and it's night and day if you see someone play it on a really heavy-duty system. You wouldn't even recognize the game, nearly.
What didn't you like about the GUI in SupCom (just curious - you can totally customize its layout and positioning, as well as size so it can suit your needs)?
I can agree that if you were somehow intrigued by the original story, that this one would add some new insight into the ages-old battle between NOD and the GDI (and now the Scrin). I just didn't find anything really compelling about the storyline or the throwback FMV sequences.
But like you said, each to his own, I suppose.

G8 Review Warblade thank you.
I have Sup Com, and it sits in a pile in the corner, will prob never pick it up again, biggest hyped rubbish ive ever played. Why? I cant get over the fact it allows you to zoom so far out, there is no point in zooming back in and take advantage of the great graphics. Also when you are zoomed in, watching you units , they seem to skim across the surface, no interaction ,as in COH, at all.
Company of Heroes, g8 game, the active landscape is very good, something that other games like Sudden Strike should have incorporated. COH all the same seems to be very easy. Now im no fantastic player, and arent trying to make out I am, but I am flying through this game, and unless it goes on forever, i feel the end of the game is nearing fast. Do I then go on to play the German perspective?.
Command and Conquer 3 if its up updated graphically and is along the lines of the g8 work I feel they did with CC Generals, then I'm up for it.

Okay, I may actually have some you'd be keen on...PM me a list of what you might be looking for and we can start there.
How much do you think shipping to the states would cost? (I'm from the midwest - Minnesota to be precise.) Just wondering.
I think I have a duplicate of Diablo 2 and also Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, along with the SIN Episode 1, and a nifty RTS called, Genesis Rising, set in space with organically engineered spacecraft. I also have a fun little TBS/CCG game called Etherlords 2 available.
