Great review Wiz!

This is the first game I have seen since Prince of Persia (2 thrones?), that is geared around the use of a game pad. I am the same as you, in that I prefer rodent/KB combo. Feels more natural. Pity the publishers don't see that the PC market has this unique and long preferred method of control and re-coded to suit.
I have to say, though, that eye candy isn't enough to hold my interest. Since the MP aspect is dodgy ATM, there is no real reason that I would spend the $89 (yes, I did see it at this price) for a short SP game.
I have kept one eye on the Xbox version since I saw a net ad for it earlier this year, thinking it would migrate to PC.

I think I'll wait a little bit longer until MP is fixed, what ever the problem maybe!

Well graphically its looks great but then you read the system specs to be able to run it in Perfect mode and for most people that would mean a upgrade , 9 hours from go to woe is a worry , when most titles these days are in the $80 to $90 range that isn't much insentive to buy it really , unless it will be more driven to the console market where the online multiplayer is much more standard and doesn't require two or three hundred dollar upgrades to play on full settings.

The continual grinding of enemies is another put off , but if the title is marketed to the younger console market then it just might sell really well , myself being a "older" gamer would rather a more open plan that allows for side quests that require a little stealth here and there instead of going rambo every 10 minutes to get thru a level.

Great review , love the screen shots , but i will pass on the title , just to grinding for me.

enfortunatley there seems to be a few games lately that have dissapointed due to a 'consol' prefference-

dunno bout most of TOG but I cant get used to the consol gameing experience- A Wii light saber would tempt me into the consol world but other than that Im a hard core PC gamer.
I was looking at this one but after the debarcle with transformers for the PC I wont be buying an game unless they wrote it for the PC, and not just as a afterthought,

Hi wiz 74,Thanks for a great review,it was well done,I have just finished having a look at the "Demo",unfortunately I wasn't impressed.Like some of the replies in this column I am a True blue FPS player on PC's and I am looking for my next purchase.Tried Bioshock ,not my scene ,I am currently playing Airborne,demo,havent decided yet if I like,but I'm anxiously awaiting "Crysis" and "COD4"Hope fully they will be as good as predicted.
By the way I am still playing Fear Combat and enjoy a game or two every now and again.
Please keep up the good work of reviewing and am looking forward to reading your next one.

Great Review,,,,,wont be buying this tho as Crysis is the next FPS game I'll be putting hard earned on.

Also I'm no fan of games ported from consoles as they are'nt normally done well.

Good review but: Oh and one other thing, ignore the fact that Wayne is wearing shorts in the screenshots, I can assure you he was fully clothed throughout the whole game. What? Just how did the game screenshots end up with a guy in his skivvies? And while the game looks good the multiplayer also appeals to me so I may wait for a patch. Thanks for the review!
