Thanks guys!

Personally, since I've written the review, I've hardly played it. The MP maps feel too constrained, and it really is like it's designed for console numbers; i.e. 16 player cap. I love the game, just can't seem to get the enjoyment from the speed of it all.

SP missions really shine in some areas, and yep, really pulls you in! As some have said, the single player part is pretty short for a full game, (I didn't think so) so excluding the MP side will only add to this. Give it a shot, it's a lot of fun, and as said, modded, this'll be really interesting!

You'll find that all the original maps in the COD games that came standard on release are fairly small ( except the UO expansion which had Tanks and Jeeps in it ) and this was geared towards GA/TWA competition playing where you had 8 Vs 8. 6 Vs 6 or 5 Vs 5 and I have to agree with you there Spectre, that when you get into a 32 or even a 24 slot server it can get chaotic and at times a bit frustrating (especially with the high velocity weapons that can shoot through walls like in CoD4). Sometimes IW will release an extra map or 2 with one of there patches that are a bit bigger. But at the end of the day wait till the Modders get hold of this game then you'll see some really nice and challanging Maps Buddy

Seems to me that a 5/5 is too strong for a game you don't enjoy. Don't get me wrong, I think your review is well written, and I'm seriously considering getting the game, much based on what I read. However, it seems to me that when reviewing a game it would be worthwhile grading it out of 10 rather than 5. Based on what you write in your review it doesn't seem to me that you'd give it 10/10, or am I wrong? A out of 10 scale would give more room for the 'shades of gray'.

I couldnt agree more with the article
We have being discuss what we like from COD 4 from Bf2142 we love the realism that high calibre weapons shooting through walls and cover.
The Sp is too short I want more (I hope there is an exp pack in the wings)
But the big question is where to from here

Very well written Spectre, agree with most of what was written. I don't really play MP much anymore simply because it is a little too fast paced for me due to the smaller maps. Snipers need more love in MP maybe we will see that when the modding community kicks in and starts making some new maps.
Level 55 was disappointing, I expected more. I know the consoles got a better deal on that end but I was left feeling "Huh, is that it?"
Single Player is just amazing, The sniper mission was just arghhh! Soo good.
In the field with the convoy patrolling through and trying to position yourself while lying absolutely still. Was I the only one holding my breath during that little bit? lol Not forgetting after the assassination attempt getting out of the building with the music pumping and having to eventually carry your wounded captain, it was just intense, probably the best SP mission Ive ever played.
Im not all the way through SP yet, so I hope theres more goodness to come.

Glad it's still getting some views!! Thanks for the comments and feedback guys.

Insomnia, last year we made a collective decision to go with the five star rating option. It's actually much of a muchness, out of 100, or 10, or any number, the percentage still counts. Here, we aren't professional critics, but rather giving our personal views. I'll still stand by what I've said... It's a brilliant game, and one that really couldn't be improved upon, except by giving us more... but isn't that always the way?

I also wouldn't detract from the score simply because I don't play it anymore. My tastes change, and to be honest, I'm a bit "over" playing fast paced online shooters. I've been a Battelfield player for a LONG time now, and I'm just over it. Give me a slow, tactical shooter that makes you think before firing, and I'm happy. But me liking different things does not detract from the absolute quality of this game. Especially how bug free it is too!! That, is truly impressive. Take note EA!
