Although I really wanted to like this game, I soon grew bored with it due primarily to the buggy switch system. Graphically its very impresssive, the UI (for the most part) is adaquate, but the fact that routes cannot be reliably set up (due to switch bugs) ruined it for me. Hopefully they will patch it, and fix the problems. As they stand now (for me) they are game breaking.
My 3yo son loves the game tho - and is contantly asking me to set up a train, and allow him to switch engines, and engine colors. |

I had some issues with switches but nothing serious in my time with the game. There are two patches available for the game already, if you haven't gotten them yet, you can find them at Fileshack or Fileplanet, or even Gamespot.

Thanks for the review.
I too also loved the original. Lost many many hours playing it. Absolutely loved aquiring companies, taking on huge debts, transferring the money to the mothership before sell the wrecked company. Happy Days! |

Yeah, it's kind of sad that this newer game isn't (in some ways) as deep as the original. That was loads of fun!
