After playing the demo I am buying this one for sure
It's a bit hard at the start but I have given it some time now and I love the way the cars handle
Also one of the best looking games I have seen in ages

I might be getting one once gt5 comes out though

something i like about Dirt 2 is there's plenty of camera view options. the 'hood vew' option (the one where all you see of your vehicle, is it's bonnet)works for me. it puts the player right in the action without obscuring your view.

Well, I tried in Dirt 2 Demo if I could go for a one full race just pushing the throttle down and keeping it continuosly at 100%. It happened. (I tried again in hardcore, but there was not much difference)

Dirt 1 had slight bits of realism with it, this one is full arcade, and there is nothing wrong with that. That's the way Codemasters have been going for a long time, sad for their old fans. I've heard.

downloaded the demo on ps3 yesterday, will give it a go over the weekend

Pure Mongrel, it can still be a lot of fun, as it has multiplayer and it looks good. A lot of people will like it.

I just personally like a bit more sim-oriented games, and of course I complain and whine as much as possible, when codemasters have taken this direction, but that does not make it a bad game at all.

True. The more I read / see on this game the more impressed I am. Only thing is my games budget is blowing out big time.

I went from Modern Warfare 2 and HALO 3: ODST to about 10 titles.
