I call Darksiders the Zelda for pre-adolescent boys.

It's full of violence and blood and other emo related rubbish, but it is lacking boobage...

Still, it's pretty much a pastiche of Zelda, Devil May Cry and Dynasty Warriors, with a bit of Metroid and Half Life thrown in there for good measure.
