Cadder which of these did you get Platinum Trophies for (excluding Burnout of course )
Sorry, PM. I didn't reply to this.

  • Lego Indy (original Adventures) I have 100%, but there are no trophies, so I can't prove it unless I take a screenie.
  • Presently playing Lego Indy 2. THAT at least has trophies
  • Lego Batman I'm at about 96% but this has no trophies either. I've only got one bonus level to complete.
  • Lego Star Wars complete, I'm only 60% or something (on the replay after completing 1 and nearly all of 2 on the PS2).
  • GTA4 I played to completion (story and side missions). THEN they brought out trophies on the PS3 and I wasn't impressed by the fact that they weren't retroactive, and I'd have to start again. Ergo, PSN only shows me at 12 trophies for GTA4 - but that's on the replay. I *think* I kept a save of the completed game. If so, I'll load it up and take a screenie.
If PSN is still offline tonight, I'll finish off Batman and take screenies of the ones I've mentioned if you want.

So the only one I have a platinum trophy that I can prove is BP.

A_1 can you confirm this information? Judging by the "shifty bearded" avatar we need to double check this info ...

Is this games with 100% complete, or 100% of trophies/achievements?

I have a fair few games 100% complete, but none with 100% trophies/achievements.

Me too. I think it depends on the game.
I think we need a second 2-point trophy for games that don't have achievements or trophies.
OBTW, Wolfenstein3D throws another spanner in the works: It DOES have achievements, but no platinum trophy. (Nothing higher than a gold).
What do we do about that? (I'm nowhere near completing it, but intend to)

Might be a good idea.

Platinum Trophy a 3 pointer.
Gold Trophy a 2 pointer.
100% completed game should be a 1 pointer.

Maybe.

As stated before there are no hard and fast rules. How is a 100% game any less of an achievement than a platinum trophy?

More than happy to add a new award for 100% completed games, but as 100% completded games on XBOX ad Wii are 2 points I think we should keep that the same.

Only reason I did not put a 100% completed for PS3 in the first place was that there was no way to confirm unless the member took photos of their TV (As Cadder did).

I know Grimm has a stack of 100% completed games that we have not given him an award for. (Speaking of which, can you send us a photo Grimm?)

..because in some games (Burnout, for example,) 100% completion is only a gold trophy, counted toward the platinum.
Games like GTA that have a story and side missions, 100% completion of the story might only be a fraction of the "things to do" in the game.

I propose keeping a 5-pointer for a platinum trophy (since this is usually "do everything you can in a game") and 2 points for 100% in games that either don't HAVE trophies, OR 100% completion of the main story mode.

Potentially, (using GTA4 as an example) if you complete 100% of a story and get 2 points, then complete the side missions and other challenges at a later date, you should get +3 to make your total 5 for the platinum.
OR, just don't bother declaring that you've done 100% and get 5 points all at once for a platinum.

Ergo,
Lego Batman - 100%, no trophies. 2 Points.
GTA4 - story completion, 2 points.
GTA4 Platinum (which you have to complete the story PLUS a sh*tload of other stuff to achieve) - 5 points. (which includes the 2 points for story completion)
Wolfenstein - completion of all trophies, 2 points.
No platinum, no 5 points. Tough.

Keeping track of all that is going to make the task of maintaining the awards harder.

Maybe you could create an "Over Achievers" award that can be awarded o those who play above and beyond?

I don't really think it's that difficult:
  • Do you have a platinum PS3 trophy or 100% Xbox achievements?
    • Yes-> 5pts
    • No-> Have you completed the game to 100%?
      • Yes -> 2pts
      • No -> keep playing
end

As I have already awarded you and Click 5 points for 100% games that are not platinum ... you have now made my life harder

Add to that the Wii players would only get 2 points for a completed game under that model.

How about?:

5 points for a completed game

Extra 2 points (New Award) for over 100% or 100% plus Plat trophy.
