I've been playing for 8 hrs now - on xbox360. If the ps3 has better graphics it must look pretty amazing as the 360 looks brilliant!

You can pick up the game at Big W (if in Aus) for $83. Way better than paying $120 at EB Games!!

In terms of gameplay etc, I'm finding it a bit linear and boring in the combat respect, however the story is interesting enough to keep me moving through. I'm hoping it picks up as people say.

I do agree, Fang and Vanielle seem to have an Aussie/Kiwi- like accent!

Hope is probably the character that annoys me the most. In the first 30mins all the silly sighing noises from him and Vanielle were enough to do my head in !

Finished the main story today, while it starts off slow it really does get better as it progresses.

So much left to do now the main part is done though, seems like half the content is centered around Gran Pulse, finishing the game unlocks another 30+ side missions to do as well as adding the final Crystalarium level. Apparently it's around 1.2 million CP to max one of a characters primary jobs, 2.2 for the secondary jobs. That adds up to about 10.2 million CP to completely max out a character

Heck of a lot of grinding if you want all the trophies/achievements.

I recently finished the main story. I am sure I am of the rare crowd that has never played a FF game before. I am just recently getting into console gaming.

I loved it!

I am an avid MMO player although I am retired at the moment until the next best thing comes around.

I really enjoyed the story after I got used to some of the cheesy parts. The challenge of the game seemed perfect for me. Challenging enough to keep me interested, but not so hard that I wanted to throw my controller through the TV.

I have the PS3 and the graphics are amazing. In fact, I am now playing Demon's Souls (Which I am loving) but the graphics just don't compare at all. I miss the FF13 graphics.

Anyhow, good game, family friendly, and long. I am slow and spent a ton of time on the game and I have not really done many of the side quests yet.

I just can't seem to get into it. I'm up to chapter 7 but I just don't like how it decides what characters you're playing. I prefer the option to switch out characters as I see fit and make my own team, not sure if this changes later on in the game though.

You do get to choose members later and customise them a lot more. I was a bit disappointed with the main game but once you get to Gran Pulse it's absolutely fantastic.
