This is my interpretation of the maps and what might work. Please feel free to add your own thoughts. The more feedback the better as we might be able to come up with a good strategy.
Maps are based on Modes.
Suppression – Faction practice map. Not much to say other then get out their and kill your fellow Faction players for XP.
Appears to be 3 maps: Jungle, Rail Yard and Compound.
Objectives: Take or defend the satellite uplinks at A and B followed by C if A and B have fallen.
Uplinks A and B:
Best defence: Position troops at the front of buildings at A or B on the ridge overlooking the river and stop any enemies from crossing the river from the ruins. Shooters at the front Medics behind. Fall back to the main building housing A or B consoles if the position is overcome by the enemy. Anti-Personal mines at A and B consoles and stairs at the front of the main building.
Best attack: Initially flank the defenders by approaching from the left across the river or right across the bridge. Gain access to the building by the side stairs left or right side of the building. Once the position has been overcome defend the uplink console left and right stairs, rear and front platforms by any and all means. Medics a must.
Best defence: Position troops at the front, left and right of the building. Anti-personal mines top of the stairs inside the building and covering the rear ladders. Shooters at the front Medics behind. Fall back to C if the position is overcome by the enemy.
Best attack: Frontal assault. Push through the ranks of defenders and up the front stairs to the floor above to Console C. Backup plan access the rear of the building and climb the ladder to the floor above to Console C. Once the position has been overcome defend the uplink console rear ladders and front stairs by any and all means possible. Medics a must.
Rail Yard I have only played on once so have to reserve comment.
Compound I noticed once you have taken A and B make for the stair on the right side of the main building on the hillside. This is the shortest route to the console at C which is on the second floor then down a set of stairs straight into the console area. I have seen people go in through the front doors and they get bottlenecked in their but it can cause a good amount of distraction for a group to take the more direct route.

2 modes: Defence or Attacking.
Objectives: Take or defend the bunkers, gates, road blocks, mortar battery, anti-air battery, sensor radar, vehicle compounds and finally the vehicles located at the rear or centre of the map.
Best defence: Keep the bunkers, gates and road blocks up. This will allow you to stop the enemy attack and destroy any vehicles which are taken prior to leaving the base. Mine access roads to the gates, anti-personal mines on the rear of the bunkers and any access points through walls. Repair bunker machine gun frequently.
Best attack: Position personal carriers near to the bunkers and swarm the bunkers. Take down the bunkers, open the gates and road blocks take the vehicles and leave the compound. Additional priority target, take down the anti-air battery which will enable helicopters and paratroopers to be used applying pressure to the defenders.

2 modes: Defence or Attacking.
Objectives: Take or defend the cooling towers, burn off towers, mortar battery, anti-air battery, sensor radar, vehicle compounds and finally the consoles located in the centre of the map. Attackers try and cause as much damage as posible where the defenders are trying to stop the damage.
Best defence: Keep the bunkers, gates and road blocks up. This will allow you to stop the enemy attack and destroy any personal carriers from entering the area. If the vehicles get in they can be used as staging areas to to launch assaults behind enemy lines. Mine access roads to the gates, anti-personal mines on the rear of the bunkers and any access points through walls. Repair bunker machine gun frequently.
Best attack: Position personal carriers near to the bunkers and swarm the bunkers. Take down the bunkers, open the gates and road blocks. Move further in with the vehicles and take up position next to main targets to allow them to be taken down. Keep moving towards the centre of the map and the pumping stations. Additional priority target, take down the anti-air battery which will enable helicopters and paratroopers to be used applying pressure to the defenders.
A personal strategy:
Stay alive. Heal yourself often. When not healing yourself, heal those around you.
Keep moving. Never stand still for to long. A moving target is a hard target to kill. Especially if they are moving side on to you. ie. not towards you or away.
Make sure the job is done:
Self sacrific can be the best strategy within reason. If you plant explosives on something hanging round to defend the plant could be a good strategy. The only problem with this is you might kill others in your Squad.
Could save your life:
The mini sensor (red dots) can help you to identify enemy positions but it can't be totally relied upon. A visual check of someone moving towards a key piece of equipment might indicate an attack in progress. So look around often.

I'm going to give suppresion a run over the weekend. i'm more happy knowing that i just have to kill (try) the other dudes without having to worry about objectives. i think we played a suppression map on wednesday didn't we. i rather enjoyed that. a team leader calling the shots with the motion sensor is a must i think. it's a great asset for those guys who hang back a bit to defend to be informed when theres movement in their area

Good job Ancient_One that is a really good summary.
You have heard most of my crazy Ideas for hitting domination maps which pretty much involves the entire platoon being coordinated.
Burnoff and Anti Air are the first two priorities,Drop AAA then all squad leaders drop strikes on the bunkers,then hit the rest of the burnoff towers,game over.
I have roughly seen this pulled off maybe three times but it is slick to be a part of.
