PS3: MAG Rant (Not Happy Jan)

I really am not impressed with the ability to kick people out of the game while playing.

I don't care how bad you might be performing or directing the team, in the end it's a game for god's sake.

It never surprises me to see votes to kick a player. Usually the Squad Leader.

Most of the time it's because the Squad Leader is not part of a Clan Group so they make a decision to ditch the Squad Leader so they can get the job and the points.

Another scenario is the FRAGO has not been set up by the person who has the Squad Leader job.

So what I say. Honest mistakes are made.

In one game I myself was not listed as Squad Leader in the team list prior to game start but once the game started I was assigned the job. I didn't know and I heard another team member calling for me to be kicked out. I managed to salvage the situation.

In another game I had set the frago on the burn off tower and died defending it. Once I sporned our Bunker was under attack and I died again. No time to set FRAGO. By the time I sporned again they had called a vote and I was kicked.

I think the vote should not be to kick but to demote the person if they are in a position of authority. If not then maybe its a kick but I really am against it.

It's hard enough to get into an actual game at the best of times and to kick someone out is .............. well I can't say the words how I am feeling about it at the moment but it does seem to be getting worse.

This could really spoil the game.

I was almost in that situation a while ago I had no Idea until I checked the squad I was the TL and then I realized why I was getting abuse But you are right it will cause problems and people will leave the game because of it. I am hoping a lot of the tools will move on to another game and MAG will show its full potential and people play the game in the more technical aspect it has been created for. Not running in blindley and getting their ass blown away as I have done many times

Oh I will be on Wednesday Night in MAG but it wont be a late one for me as I have to be up at the crack of dawn for work on Thursday.

Ah that's why they vote to kick people. I haven't been playing long and normally turn off hearing other people talking rather than hear the constant barrage of crap people seem to say but I did wonder why these kick votes cropped up on occasion. I don't even know how to vote yes or no anyway but never saw anyone actually get the boot. Hopefully things like this will get tweaked by the developers so it doesn't keep happening

It would appear it's here to stay. To many reasons to keep it other then the abuse people use it for. I posted in the MAG forum and was pretty much shouted down.

Does anyone remember Toy Story. That's how I feel about it at present. Woody's head swiveling around and saying to Sid.

"You better be good to your Squad mates Sid"
"Now Play Nice."

If your interested in knowing. You press the Start button in game and it will list your Squad mates. Select the one you wish to vote on and select the x button. Move to the Vote Selection and X again. Then Select Yes or Okay for the next question.

Well, it's PS3 online... you get what you pay for
