Like every week, I'll say I'll jump on but then completely forget about it until around 11 when everyone's gone.

Also away at the moment so no mic with me.

I am on now ... but a 40MB patch is going to take over an hour an a half????

Sony really need to fix what ever the issue is with update speeds. I don't even bother doing system updates through the PS3 anymore. I download it with my PC way faster.

I finally got a chance to play

Saw a few of you online last night but we didn't seem to match up in games.

Last week you guys were joined to VALOR games (I was in SVER) and last night you guys were placed in SVER games (I'm now in VALOR).

Typical.

I'm sure we will match up sooner or later. I did make it to level 15 though.

Yeh, I saw you too, A1, but MAG wouldn't let me join the game you were in - even on the opposing team.

Bit of a shemozzle last night, saw PM come online and in MAG, but never saw him in game. Just Johnny2Combz and me in-game last night, and for some reason my mic wasn't responding. It was working out of MAG, but not in. Weird. I could hear Johnny, but not very loudly.

Where was the rest of the squad on a Wednesday night, hmmmm? <taps foot impatiently> I saw a couple of you playing BFBC2. On MAG night. Really. hmpf.

When the update finally finished I managed to get in to the game you were in, but it dumped me in a team of very upset English players who's idea of team motivation was swearing at the other players constantly. Jumped out and tried to get back in, but again I could only get on team "You bunch of useless F@$KS!"

Not a fun team to be on

Then I had to go to bed

I like those teams mate. So much fun listening to idiots having a go at other idiots.

I have heard people abusing each other, different nationalities, different races etc etc.

The language barrier is the fun one to contend with. The other day I was in a mixed Team of Japanese/English. I gave instruction on what we were going to do stategy wise and I hear "Joe.........Joe..........Friend Joe."
I told him I was Aussie. Silenced him for around 5minutes then "Joe.........Joe..........Friend Joe."
His grasp of English was not so good. Needless to say we lost the game.

During the day the team dynamics change which can be hellishly fun.

In the morning you get the gung hoe Americans playing. Even hillbilly types.
Afternoon you get the Japanese.
In the evening the Europeans and English.

I like playing with the Japanese. Most times they are very co-ordinated ... not to mention polite. I wish I understood the language as I bet they have a fantastic gaming community.

at risk of running off-topic; there was a story on Good Game a couple of weeks back about pro gamers - there are companies in Korea and Japan whose employees do nothing but play (particular) games professionally. And I don't just mean a couple of nerds in a back office, this was 20 or 30 employees in a gamespace that resembled a classroom, all playing the same game. Freaky.

X Play also had an article on Pro gamers in Korea. They all lived in the same place, and played games all day, and had everything else done for them. My dream house
