Found this info on the Node news site, seems we're getting a free DLC in June.

Another day, another Red Dead Redemption story to make me bounce up and down in excitement. Rockstar, in their infinite wisdom, have apparently decided the game cannot do without a co-operative multiplayer mode. So they've decided to add one in with the free Outlaws to the End DLC pack, slated for a June release.

The pack contains six missions, and support from two to four players. Playing through the missions will net you bonus XP, and grant you a chance to net additional achievements or trophies. Three of the missions have been detailed so far:

Walton’s Gold
Walton’s Gang have taken control of a mining camp rich with gold. Fight through the camp and load your mine cart with as much gold as you can carry and get out as fast as you can – Walton’s boys have rigged the place to blow.

The River
Ride a raft down river, taking out rebel encampments along the way until you reach the rebel stronghold of Nosalida and a final epic battle for the town’s massive weapons caches. Watch out for Gatling gun-equipped enemy rafts.

Ammunition
The Mexican Army has the town of Tesoro Azul under siege. Storm the gates under heavy cannon, Gatling gun and sniper fire to destroy the Mexican artillery placements.

One of the core features of the game is supposed to be Co-Op roaming in the wild west so it's possible the DLC announcements are really just a marketing ploy to showcase it. Rockstar released a video showing the co-op roaming features that allow players to literally explore the country side picking encounters to engage if they wish, or not. It also showed wild game hunts, stage coach roberies and what appeard to be a train heist.

I've got this one pre-ordered and will be shoot'n up the salon's in approximately 6 days.
