Default (SPOILERS!) Red Dead ending.

Seriously, if you don't want to know anything about the end of the game stop reading now.

....

Ok, assuming you're still reading, you have completed the single game or don't care if I talk about it.

I loved the game all the way through. Gameplay was excellent, scenery was awesome and enjoyed the entirety of it.

But that ending sucked. It sucked donkey balls.

Maybe I got attached to the character. Maybe I like a little justice in my stories. All I know is that when the smoke cleared and I was now playing Jack, I put down the controller and am having a hard time picking it up again.

Is that strange? I actually felt a pang of betrayal at the end. Not for the characters, (although I wanted to shoot the G-man a lot) but from the game itself. It's like _they_ shot Marsden, and not the army.

Who knows? Maybe that's the sign of a well written game. I got so sucked into the story that when the tragic ending occurred I actually felt hurt.

I know what you mean, was really disappointed. I also find Jack to be a really unlikable character so have had great difficulty sticking with it

Do the "Remember My Family" stranger quest with him though, it's worth it

I just don't like Jack's voice. And yeah the ending did suck balls. he could have gone out in a blaze of glory instead of just walking out of the barn.

Exactly!

And you're right, Jack is a whiney little sod. I've even changed horses as he wasn't showing the proper respect to the Warhorse. (Nag, indeed...)

Yeah i was furious at the ending, i did not want to use Jack for the 100% achievement. But i do suggest finishing the stranger quest, it felt good.

I think they planned the game well because we obviously got attached to John. I did then find myself shooting the shit out of towns while saying this is what you get for
f%#king with my family, so well done Rockstar, i have never been so attached to a game character before or cared if they died as much as i was with John

I agree completely, I don't know if the horses listen to Jack's constant whining but I've had two die under him for no apparent reason, never had that happen with John. I'm guessing they just hate Jack that much.

Quite frankly Jack needs a slap (get over it you whiney little sod). But kudos for John Marston, a character I've loved from start to finish. One hell of a voice, one hell of a character. Here's hoping Jack grows up a bit and mellows ready for the next one.

Anyone else try desperately to tag everyone standing outside the barn? :P

When he told his wife and son to get going and headed to the barn door I figured he was done for. But yeah, I tried to tag as many of them as I could. Actually, I considered trying to get the Sharpshooter 10 (disarm 6 people without changing guns or reloading) since they were all lined up nicely.

Overall I loved the game and plan on trying for the 100% completion. Plus there's all the multiplayer stuff to work on too.
