Played Co-Op campaign last night with Viper (pity Scratches could not make it as you can play that mode 3 player

) and it was a lot of fun.
But then we tried escalation mode (still only two of us, but can play up to four)... now that was the best fun I have had on a console in a long time.
Wave after wave of transforming robots coming at you, hell bent on using you for spare parts with only the briefest of pauses between waves to get more ammo and health.
The points you earn from kills are used to purchase life giving Energon, ammo, weapons and to unlock doors that allows you access to new areas with various bonuses.
The combat is very satisfying. There are many "Hell Yeah!" moments as you quickly switch from blasting a robot with your hand weapon, transform to vehicle mode and take out a group with your rockets and then jump back to robot mode and take out a couple of robot spiders (with your POWER AXE) that are trying to chew your feet off!
Then just to prove you are the toughest metal MoFo in the yard you take out a couple bad guys wailing on your buddy, bring him back from the brink of death while under a hail of gun fire, turn around and blast the last threat of that wave.
(Yes it's true ... more than once I found myself humming "You've got the touch! You've got the power!"

)
Mass transforming robot combat, great visuals and the original voice actors coupled with what appears to be very balanced game mechanics has made me very happy that I took a punt on this title.
Hoping to see a mass TOG transformer all in brawl some day soon
