Default Why is FarCry so !@#&%$'n hard?!?!?!

So I recently took back up the jungle-esqe game of FarCry (the first one) and remember why I never finished it. Not because of Graphics or bad controls. Both are great! But....

IT'S SO FRIGGIN HARD.

Seriously guys, I am stuggling with Easy.

Any you guys remember having such a hard time? Sheesh.

Hmm, I've only played FC2 for the PC. Is the first one on the console a lot harder?

I've only experienced it on PC, and I nearly finished it before I got bored. I recall the AI being pretty smart for the time, they would try to run and hide, flank you and other things, but didn't find it especially hard.

Same as Zee, only played it on the PC but don't remember being overly hard. The AI is pretty clever and you need to constantly adjust for it.

Bump!

I'm about half way through 2 at the moment and i love it. The original i just played it run and gun style, in 2 i'm taking my time and watching what happens. Love how the enemy rescue their buddies or the wounded drag themselves away and sit there waiting, the way you can ambush the convoys with ieds or some 40mm grenades. Much more realistic than invisible mutants etc. If you haven't picked up 2 then do so.

I played it on the normal difficulty level and found it a challenge, but not overly so. The second part of the game was a lot more difficult though
