Thumbs up Lego Harry Potter 1 - 4 Years

Okay so who is playing and what are your thoughts on the game.

My wife and I have been playing it everynight for a few weeks not. We love it.

Have loved all the Lego games so far but find this is the best of them all and can't wait for the next years to be released.

Since my kids (youngest in particular) have gone absolutely ga-ga over the star wars lego game I have been looking at this one for the wii. The ex has a friend who plays it on the wii and he said the guy is totally addicted to it. Apparently it is very fun. Am seriously thinking of buying it for the kids.

We play EVERYTHING Lego here, great stuff. I haven't played the Harry Potter version yet, but we do have it for the 360 and the kids loved it. They had a great time and played through the entire game together. Can't go wrong here, the Lego games are great quality.

We are also in the Lego Universe beta, but that's as far as I can go with that hehe.

No way man. This is fantastic. I have them all and this one really grabs me. Finding all the rooms and solving all the puzzles. Picking the right spells, time turning and finding all the hidden items. Just fantastic.

Got it. Bought it on release day. Love it.
Master four and Miss five have completed the story levels in the space of three weeks. (But that's three SOLID weeks, playing far more hours in the day than they probably should.
But upshot, they finished it before I'd even got halfway through the 2nd book.
Great game.

My fave Lego game is still Batman though. NFI why, it just is.

I finally got my hands on a copy of Lego Batman today in at Dick Smiths. I mentioned to the guy that this was the first store I'd actually seen it in. He blinked at me and said "That's probably because it's been discontinued, you got our last copy"

All the Tt LEGO games are fantastic (yes, even LEGO Indy 2)!

LEGO Harry Potter years 1-4 is a whole new ballgame. The amount of content in this game is just unreal. When I first started playing, I was completely boggled by the number of items to interact with and locations to explore. I really enjoy the fact that each year has its standard 6 "story" levels (where you achieve your True Wizard goal) plus there are what I call "mid-levels", whereby you learn your spells and such, that play just like the story modes. An ingenious way of keeping the continuity of the storyline without having to resort to a rediculous number of story-mode levels.

I've just recently completed the entire game years 1 thru 4 in story-mode and am just running around the castle and grounds trying to discover things I missed such as the silver locked chests & doors and the timeturner clocks. I plan to do the freeplay story modes after. I think I'm at 60% completed right now.

Still trying to figure out how I use the "red sparkle" items. I'm guessing I have to have Voldemort or a Death Eater minifig to cast their "dark magic" on them.

I'm also in the LEGO Universe Beta...NDA of course.
