Default Xbox games for kids?

hey all, if I play Sonic racing game thingo one more time I am going to scratch my eyes out. Lego batman was ok for a few hours.

What are some of the good games out there for a 6 year old boy to get into. We are sticking with a max of PG for a few more years to come.

Any ideas?

May I recommend.....the Wii?!

Seriously...there's a few good ideas on here Top Eight Xbox 360 Kids Games

They don't seem to have a huge range but there's a few out there. And with the Cars title you could race with him

thank you Birko for the sig

I would suggest the Harry Potter series for lego, Peggle which is an xbox live arcade game as well as the whole Hasbro Family game series. Hope it helps!

I played Halo 3 online a few times at a mates place, that seemed to have a lot of 6 year olds on it

Seriously though, the Viva Pinata games are excellent.

Banjo Kazooie Nuts and bolts.
Its a tongue in cheek build and race game, my 4yo son has spent many hours building and and driving. My 6yo daughter also enjoys it quite a lot.

When I want to treat the kids I scratch through XBLA and download any demos that look promising. If I see them playing them over and over a buy the full game. This shows me that they like the game and can handle it before spending any cash.

Scene It? Box Office Smash is a fun game for families.

It's rated M in Australia because of some "horror" film questions, but that's the OFLC for you.

Most of the X-Box Live Arcade Line up is pretty good, I know they may not last as "long" as some of the normal titles are concerned, but some of the games are great.

Lego Star Wars : The Complete Saga is 2000 times better then Lego Batman, heck, even I couldn't beat one of Lego Batman's bosses. I just didn't know what to do.

Most racing games are good, also look at the Indie game lineup. Some of those games are good, and quite cheap. And the best part, depending on how you look at it, have VERY basic game mechanics and a look to them. For instance, if you eventually want to bring him into a shooter game, Try out Avatar Laser Tag, The game is "horrible" from a older person perspective, (the trial version lets you test it) but It is basic enough for a kid to possibly find joy in it and provide basic concepts for playing that sort of game.

Ill post more after I look around some more.
