Default Fallout Vegas code issues

For those of you in Australia who pre-ordered this game and received a pre-order code, M$ is aware that they don't work at the moment and are trying to fix the problem.

This apparently is an issue for codes that came from GAME and EB. (Have not heard about JBHI FI)

There was an issue with PS3 codes in the US, but I believe that has been fixed now.

Indeed, seems the codes are invalid and Bethesda are aware.
Although this was supposed to be fixed Friday morning it is still an issue on Saturday afternoon.

I'm dying to get started playing with my pre-order pack working, hope they fix it soon.

[Update] 7 days after the game launched (5 days in Oz) and Bethesda still haven't activated the codes for pre-order packs in Australia.
I encourage you to spread the word to anyone interested in buying games associated with Bethesda that this is typical how they manage their game launches when it comes to bugs and other launch problems..

IMO. Do yourself a favor and wait, maybe even hold of for the GOTY edition if its a popular game.

Actually XBL (Australia only?) seemed to be having issues with downloadable content all weekend. My son and I got an error message regarding this every time we logged in.

Indeed. I've also heard rumblings of that, there seem to be quite a few non aussie people unable to download their Pre-order dlc even with working codes.

Sucks doubly when its more than one thing causing a problem, as us consumers frequently end up being hand-balled between parties blaming each other for the trouble

I learnt my lesson on Fallout 3 GOTY and the DLC issue. Game freezes and the like.
they still have not fixed this.

Hence why I only bought the standard edition of New Vegas. I refuse to give them more money until they lift their game. I note they have DLC section in New Vegas so watch this space.

I've had the game for nearly a week now and still haven't even put in my preorder code.... and from the sounds of it, I'm probably just saving myself a headache by doing so.

I've always loved the Fallout world and have always been a supporter of Bethesda (and Obsidian for that matter) and their games. I have been fairly disappointed, however, by the DLC for Fallout 3 and the general state of New Vegas. I feel like I'm playing a beta version of the game as lockups/game slowdowns and glitches/bugs are painfully evident. It looks to me like they should have pushed the release date and poslished this one a bit more.

Then again, at least it WAS released unlike a well known racing sim that was shown at E3 back in 2005 and we're STILL waiting for.....

True true. I get immersed in these worlds. Absolutely love playing these types of games.
Shame other developers don't cotton onto it.

Yes glitches I do see but they are not game stopping ones. No complete freeze/crashes as of yet so hopefull that I will get a free run on it.

Currently play a few hurs each night. More on weekends. Loving it.
