I am in the RIFT beta (currently between beta events) and completely blown away, problem is this month and the next look bleak for PC and console releases while I wait. So, I'm not really a racing fan but I saw this and got a little nostalgic thinking about the first Need for Speed and how blown away we were as kids, all of us would be crowded around the TV for days on end perfecting our times. lol.

I actually thought it would last a couple days and I would trade it but I love this game so far. It seems to break things up enough where it's hard to get into a rut, different goals, different missions, different perspectives, different cars, types of cars, etc.

Anyway, I have no PSN friends playing and with all the features for friends it seems a shame to pass it up.

Best Buy is selling it for $40 now, limited edition too if they have it, and they will price match it in the store regardless of the "online only" statement on the website. (I did it and was told that it is standard procedure to match website prices in store, even online only prices, I don't know why..lol)

At that price it's a shame to pass it up.

I picked this up yesterday.
It's not Burnout Paradise, but you can certainly see the influence the Criterion guys have had - IMHO the mission structure is very similar to earlier Burnout games. (Takedown, etc)
