PS3: Japanese PS1 games on Aussie PS3?

I want to play a PS1 game that I think only was released in Japan (Gatchaman: The Shooting for PlayStation (2002) - MobyGames). I have a PS3 and am in Australia. Is there any chance that I will be able to play it given the region and the PAL CRT tv I have?

Afraid not, PS1 & 2 games are region specific so won't work unless you have a Jap PS3.

You could always try ePSXe something, PS1 emulation is pretty much flawless these days. Makes the games look prettier too.

I do have an old PS1, but don't use it much. I imagine I could get it modchipped, but I was just wondering if I need bother.
