I blew my gaming budget on Skyrim. My son is very disappointed in me.

On the other hand, you have Skyrim. Myself, I just picked up Oblivion because it was 6.50 USD on Steam. I loved Arena and Daggerfall, but Morrowind was so tedious, I won't buy another Elder Scrolls game at release.

Back on topic, this game is good. It's a bit tricky to get used to the controls, but it's a good, fun game. Definitely a worthy addition to the Legend of Zelda saga.

I played about an hour of Zelda last night and its cool... I need to stop flicking my wrist and actually move my arm for the sword fighting though...

Alas, my budget doesn't allow for latest release games, so I'm going to have to wait until it's a bit older and cheaper.... surely the anticipation will make it better

Friend of mine was gloating on facebook with the spiffy wiimote! ARGH! jealous

I don't tend to buy games at release. The Zelda games are always the exception. Also, technically, Sarianna bought it, not me. Best. Girlfriend. Ever.

Not sure if I can be bothered. I mean I know it'll be an awesome game, but I haven't used the wii in forever and setting it back up is a pain. Plus it needs controller attachments, or a whole new controller because nintendo don't know how to future-proof their shit. Heck, they can't even current-proof anything. Why are they always so far behind?

We fairly recently bought some special cable set so we can now keep both the wii and PS3 (and other assorted things) plugged in and connected all the time, so we don't have to play 10 mins of "find the cords" before we want to use the wii... but MiniObsi is the only one who really uses it. Though I keep meaning to get back into wiifit

I must admit, the wiimote battery thing is a mega pain and the reason our wii is rarely used. I bought (admittedly cheap) rechargeable battery packs that charged via usb, which was handy (as we have a computer on all the time so finding a charging outlet was not a problem), but those died and we're now using just rechargeable batteries, but it always seems that when you want a game the batteries are all dead. And every time I think I'll charge some up to have some on hand, they lose charge before they can get around to being used anyway. Very frustrating.
