Starhawk: TOG Clan now active

Greetings, all.
Now sure how many of you have been playing the Starhawk Beta now it's gone public, but this week, along with the new 32-player map DUST, Clans have also become available. I have started the pseudo-official TOG clan... if you want to be be sent an invitation, drop me a msg either here or on PSN with your PSN gamer ID.

If you msg me on PSN, also let me know your TOG nick.

cheers,

PSN: Cadder_au

hope you enjoyed yourself last night mate ;)
throw me an invite when you get a chance

does it have voice comms?

Cadder 12th March 2012 10:34 PM

Hey Dela; I sent you an invite - check in-game.
Affirmative to voice comms,
and affirmative to enjoying getting rid of pesky Delafetts sneaking around my base ;)
:D

Chief 13th March 2012 04:05 AM

Send me an invite, maybe you guys will help me enjoy it more.

First game I played the framerate felt terrible, like sub 25 fps. Second game I could only see about 20 meters, everything past that was just random multiple blocks of colour :S Maybe I need to update my drivers :p

I worry when Beta's run to long as people will get bored with the game before it is even released for real. Has it got legs is the question?

For the first time I will download a beta release and take a look tonight. Might see you all in game but maybe not.

Maybe we could modify the MAG signature to reflect a more generic TOG gaming clan that we can use in any game with multi player ability. Just a thought.

Ancient_One reporting for duty Captain Cadder.

First impressions.........bloody brilliant.

A little more technical then Warhawk. Building, demolishing, fighting. Strategy might be the best way to win in this game. Building outposts to advance troops to the front lines. Building defenses around said outpost but not forgetting defensive positions around the main base. Energy efficiency.

I played a pretty much ground based strategy tonight and was enjoying it. Seems to be less people jumping into the StarHawks and more willing to shoot it out on the ground. Time will tell of course which way the winds will blow with this.

I await your call up Captain.

The speeder bikes, heavy tanks and the 'Dust' 32-player map only got released last week - so people may be focussing on them for a bit until the novelty wears off. The hawks are still the dominant strategic vehicle, as they were in Warhawk.
But IMHO, the Starhawk's mech capacity makes them a lot more fun to use than Warhawk. They *are* handy for going from point to point, amassing rift quickly then raiding the enemy position, purely because of their speed. And the fact that you can 'swoop' down and build an offensive weapon on the fly (many a time I've dropped a spawn beacon right IN the enemy base) is a stroke of brilliance.

We'll be waiting, George.

A1, I'll send you and Chief a clan invitation next time I'm on. (Been working late this week and just plain too exhausted to play).
George, which PSN login will you be using, I'll preemptively send you one too.
