Looking forward to it, though I'm assuming beta is still only open to EVE players?

Be interesting to see if it does come to PC, I know there's rumours of it and the PS3 version is confirmed for allowing keyboard and mouse controls which is a good sign.

I am excited to see this too. I am most curious about how much there will be to do for those of us players who aren't world class fpsers as far as getting contracts from corporations etc.

The Beta will be available for Playstation plus and not only to Eve players you can be sure of that.

Surprised it's going to be 24 vs 24, that's a decent amount of players. One of my main gripes with console shooters is the reduced player counts as it means smaller maps, BF3 only does 24 players total on consoles while I'm used to 64 on PC so it feels strange. 48 is a good number and should work well with vehicles.

That's where MAG did it so well. 128 v 128 player maps. That's 256 players on a map.

Why are all the others limiting their player numbers?

Why don't we start Organizing a TOG Dust 514 Clan/Corporation, at least we could start finding out who is interested.. or better yet get more people interested.
I think this would be a good thing because there are many TOGgers playing Eve in an already established Alliance that could be key in the Dust cross platform mechanics. I thought that the foreign legion theme would fit with Eve Alliance Anacronym CAMEL and the Corporation Oasis logo etc.

Things I haven't thought of;
- Command Structure?
- Recruitment Forum?
- Motto
- Name? (CAMEL Legion?, TOG Legionnaires?)

It is just and idea and I welcome all scrutiny

Unless a whole heap of Eve players are going to play Dust 514 as well I wouldn't expect a huge turnout. The console division is pretty small, the biggest thing we ever managed to organise was about half a dozen casual games of MAG with about half a dozen people.

Definitely worth a shot though, would like to see the console division more active. I've made attempts to organise matches for other games in the past but had no response.
