Anyone playing this JPRG yet? I picked my copy up on release day.

I'm only a couple of hours into it, but it seems like a really deep game so far. The visuals are possibly the best yet I've seen on the PS3 - it really does look like it is straight out of a Miyazaki film.

For those of you who haven't heard of this game, it was developed by Studio Ghibli and Level 5. The music and menu all have a feel of Level-5's Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2.

I've only played a few hours, so I can't say much more. Here is the trailer for anyone interested:

Actually this game has absolutely nothing to do with pokemon whatsoever.

If you are a fan of Studio Ghibli films (and if you aren't, check out Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke right away!) you'll really enjoy the art style in this one.

It is an action JRPG, so while there are elements of movement in the battlefield, it is more menu-driven than a western-style RPG like Skyrim.

The voice acting is top-notch and the transition from anime cutscenes to in-game rendered artwork is damn near seamless. It really is one of the prettiest games I've seen on the PS3.
