$300 does seem a bit steep. But how much is a PSP?

Over here they are approx. $400 (900 Dirhams), but all consoles are over priced here.

Heh only 30 more expensive than the original over here and thats standard soon as release gets close those prices may stay the same but all the free stuff will be packed in as well as the different stores fight it out to get a sale....cant wait

Really you pay for what you want i want a handheld and not a basic run o the mill 360 which i cant play on the go, many many great games on the DS so really no question on the price.

As a PS3 owner, I would have thought the PSP would have been the handheld of choice.

With the connectivity between the two units, you can even access your PS3 via the internet anywhere there is WiFi. (Although the thought of leaving my PS3 on while I go out and about does not sit well with me.)

Picked up my Black DS Lite today from WOW.
$198 plus free game. Fire Emblem - Shadow Dragon.
The game is on backorder though, so hopefully won't take too long to arrive.

ACEKard 2

Is like a mod chip and allows you to play homebrew programs and games on your DS from a memory card.

Please note that the AceKard 2, like any other flash card, does not do anything on its own. You need to buy a micro sd card to insert into the AceKard 2 in order for it to work.

The Acekard 2. is compatible with all homebrew because of the DLDI auto-patcher. You can just copy the homebrews to the MicroSD card and run it. You can use Moonshell, one of the most well known homebrew software on DS, for multi media. Watching movie, listening MP3, reading TXT novel on DS is so easy! Please download moonshell for AK 2 here .
*Some homebrews need to be put at the root of MicroSD card for best compatibility.
Support any brand of MicroSD card

Acekard 2 can be meet with any brand of MicroSD card. Do not need to worry about the speed of MicroSD card.

From what i have seen, there are half a dozen brands of mod card for the Nintendo DS. A friend of mine is bringing a TT card over for me this afternoon. It goes into the back on the DS like any other game cartridge. In my short experience i have learnt that a mod card is a 'must have' for any NDS owner.

I also bought a set of Red stereo grips from ebay for $12.95+$4 post.

More comfortable play
Bigger sound
Less likely to drop the DS.
Will provide some protection from bumps and scratches.
So a good investment for my new handheld.

DS LITE STEREO GRIPS - Amplifies & Adds Gaming Comfort! - eBay Nintendo DS, Nintendo, Accessories, Video Games. (end time 28-Mar-09 16:48:59 AEDST)

Sorry for going off topic guys...
