Default Any console racers out here?

A hardware supplier would like for us to review one of their kits used to attach a steering wheel and pedals. This is really aimed at console players as the frame is free standing, so you use your couch and TV as they are.

If there is an interest here let me know, we can ship the unit for review to someone in Sydney, yes you do have to give it back

Just gauging whether there is an interest for it first before committing to anything.

Cheers

I don't think you will have trouble finding a test racer. Pity it is only for Sydney players as I can think of two racers in QLD and one in WA that would be perfect candidates.

As Vulcan21 said, XBOX 360, PS3 or Wii required?

It's a free standing frame. Not console specific. You could use it on PC, that's if you use PC from couch. So looks like you'll already need a wheel of your own.

I'd put my hand up Father (I'm in Syd), but I'm not too sure I'd be very successful at writing a review on anything. If they're basically looking for beta-type testers, I say send it on over I've got the G25 btw, so it'll be on PS3.

Don't sell yourself short X4. I am sure you would do a great job.

Take some photos and jot down your thoughts and feelings on the product. If you think you need help writing the review, I am sure there are a few TOGers who could help.

Well that looks interesting could be a step in teh right direction for all those couch racers.

My son is right into console racing but we don't have a steering wheel / peddles combination. Mainly controller racing.

Everyone should check out the Logitech G25 setup. Just click the picture to see the slides.
Very very nice.

Have we decided on who will conduct the test yet?

Not yet. The product has yet to be reviewed by Australian 360, and Offical Playstation magazines. As expected it can take some time to organise times and places with these guys, but as soon as it does, I'll let the forum know, or Father will, and we'll work out who can do a review for the ToG members
