Xbox Live Service for Original Console Axed
DailyTech - Xbox Live Service for Original Console Axed
Does anyone even use the original XBOX anymore (for gaming I mean) let alone use it on XBOX live?

Well mixed feeling on this one. I don;t think it's fair to not support the older machine especially if anyone is still using it.
Hey maybe that's what they can use those extra points (money) for. XBOX upgrade to a 360.

The PS2 network is the same network as the PS3 so I guess that means yes.
BUT.............I heard form an EBGames guy that development on games for PS2 would stop in January. Haven't seen anything more on this.

You can still play the compatable games (original Xbox) on the 360 after the Xbox live service is finished ... You just cannot plkay any of the 'Live' features (multiplayer ect) ...
It is gooing to affect a lot of Halo players out there

Not fair is it. If they are going to stop the original XBOX then they should have added support for multiplayer on compatable games (original Xbox) on the 360 network.
