Bluetooth headset
I've realised you can't really play MAG without a headest.
I can't use my current wired USB Headset because the way my lounge is set up, so need to use a bluetooth set or wireless USB... Anyone have any recommendations? |
I use the Logitech PS3 headset and it works well.
Don't give up on your USB headset if you don't want to buy a new one. You can get a USB extension cord. I bought one from Dick Smith (I think ... it is not the same as the one I have) so he could use the PS3 camera on the table when he plays Eye of Judgement. You can get them 5m and 10m long. Also try Jaycar, they carry them as well. |
Nah, my PS3 is parked precariously near an edge, so I don't want any cables in case people trip / pull on it and it crashes to the ground... ;)

The Genuine PS3 Headset appears to be pretty good. We picked it up for a song with the MAG game from Big W.

Giotech Sony 1 and Sony 2 The funny thing is I'm yet to use any of them. My son was using them till MAG came out when I gave him the Sony one. I will use the Giotech. The Warhawk headset is the spare, somewhere. |

Only problem is, I've been on a 6-month sabbatical from gaming while I moved house, etc. and now I return, I can't find the instructions to relink/turn off etc. ('s OK. I googled it. Note to self:: light must flash green/red to relink...) |

I'm still trying to get mine all working correctly.
Maybe it's the distance from my mouth that's the problem for my GIOTECH and Jabra or the fact I'm trying to be very quiet so as not to wake the rest of the family. Might need a Logitech cordless myself. |
I use wireless headphones, with a Microsoft usb headset on over the top
It looks ridiculous and feels weird but it means the mic doesn't pick up and transmit the game sounds and it's easy to press the mute button when I'm not talking so it doesn't pick up other external sounds. |
