I've wasted an hour tonight dicking around with my PS3 and trawling the PSN website for anything that mentions how to create a sub-account.
I've done it before, but it appears the functionality has changed. I was attempting to create a sub-account for my kids.
The procedure used to be:
- Create/log into user account
- Click "Sign up to PSN"
- Select account type Master/sub
- Enter country and DOB
- -> At this point, if the DOB worked out to <18 years, you would not be permitted to create a master account, you were told to go back and select sub-account and specify the master account details.
it seems (possibly from the same gem of wisdom that removed the linux support?) that you can no longer create a sub-account. This obviously decrees that if you're under 18, you can't play online (without using a fake ID/DOB)
Can anyone else shed any light?
