Default PlayTV locking up after pause

Anyone else had this problem? I'd say roughly a third of the time after I pause something I'm watching it will lock up, not allowing me to resume where I was. The only option that seems to work is returning to live tv, which means missing everything that happened while it was paused, which is extremely infuriating.

I'm hoping they're bringing out a patch to fix it having assumed it was a known problem, but I haven't checked that so I'd better make sure it's not just my PlayTV unit.

I wonder if it is a software issue or hardware issue.

Have you tried uninstalling the PlayTV software and reinstalling it?

No I haven't, but I will - only thing is I don't want to lose what's on the hdd, though hopefully the software will 'detect' that? I'll give it a crack and see how it goes.
