XBOX VS PS3
Hey Guys.
Just looking for some general advice on this topic. I am looking to buy one of these consoles in the next week. But wanted to get people's opinon. One of the things I plan to do is play online, Do they charge to join this network or is it free ? Cheers. Thanks |
An age old argument my friend.
Search the forum using "XBOX PS3", without the inverted commas. The discussion has come up several times. XBOX Live (online ability) you pay for PSN (PlayStation Network) is free Essentially, it comes down to whether the system has the games you would like to play. |
It's all about the games. If you have a decent gaming PC and use it often, then the PS3 will definitely have more to offer. If not then you'll just have to compare the exclusive titles for each platform and decide which ones interest you more.
The 360's exclusive title lineup for this year seems pretty weak unfortunately, nothing much other than kinect stuff, Gears and Forza. |
Real hard one to answer for you mate. It comes down to what type of games you like to play and if you need things such as Blu-Ray, etc.
I personally prefer to play on the XBOX, but many here prefer the PS3. This does not stop me from enjoying my PS3 as well though ;) I would advise, if you have the availability, to either hire each console or go to a friends place that has them and give the consoles a good work out. Only then will you truly know which one is right for you. The only thing I would add concerns your internet service. If you have a high speed service with a large download quota the PS3 is a great console to have, but if it is slow and your limit is small, go the XBOX. In my experience, and I am sure even the PS3 players will agree, the PS3 system and games have more updates than the XBOX by a mile and the downloads are in many instances bloody huge. The same game on XBOX updates in a fraction of the time. |
thx guys..much appreciated !! Helps a lot

Can't add much more except. If you want an all round media centre go the PS3. It even does 3D movies.

This may help your choice ... The Playstation network has been down for a day and Sony are not sure how many days till it is back up.
