2012 E3 announcement followed by release in 2013.

I think they are dead on the money in this regard.

So what do people expect in this build.?

While console specs have never been as high as PCs, it is still strange it will be released end of next year with a GPU I've had in my desktop PC for a year.

Well, it says 'based on', which could mean anything really.
And if it's for fall 2013, it's plenty of time for change. I'm keeping my hopes up, and I'll most likely be getting it anyway.

6670 seems awfully weak to base a card on for a next gen console, even though you can squeeze more out of it with dedicated hardware. I was expecting something closer to a 5850/GTX 560.

Hopefully they have some impressive processor trick up their sleeves.

Reading the gossip about the "720" today it left me scratching my head. Did anyone read about it will lock games to the console, so no rental/second hand / friends version games can be played? Surely thats total bs.

No different to games being locked to digital services like Steam. And considering what a problem used sales are for the console industry I could believe it. Though if that is the case I'd like digital releases of all new games on the system.

Might go back to PC at this rate. I could source free stuff that way.

They would be stupid to do this and the end result could be a move away from console gaming. A resurgence into PC gaming.
