That's a nice theory

Overall, people will get what they want to get. The most of the popular games will be multi-platform. Some exclusives may make one seem like the ideal one to get, but that's only if you're left out from your friends. I jumped off the Halo bandwagon after Halo 2 came out, and how terrible Xbox Live kids acted toward everyone. I don't need to play a game and be forced to have to go through everyone and select mute, and was very tired of listening to 12 year olds cussing at me.
This also pushed me to only playing single player games on consoles. I also enjoy a lot of JRPGs and a lot more of them are on the playstations.
