Default Mech Warrior Living Legends

Hey guys,

Not sure if there's been a thread about this already, but I'd be really interested in getting a few toggers together for fun with Mech Warrior Living Legends.

For those who don't know what it is, its a mod for Crysis and its freaking amazing!!

Check it out at MechWarrior: Living Legends

You do need to have a fully patched version of Crysis (not Crysus Warhead) installed in order to apply the mod.

Let me know whos interested and we'll try and arrange a game or two. Should be a blast!

Thats great. Good to see a lot of toggers out there know about it.

So who is actually playing it? And who wants to jump in and have a game with me sometime? I love it! Been playing it for a few weeks now! And the latest patch is awesome! 3 new mechs, new vehicles and lots of changes.

if it was like Borderlands and I could jump in your mech and just control the guns Kess im in. Too scared to pilot one myself, probably run it into a mountain.

I would be all over this game if I had the $'s for a new machine and Crysis.
I be hoping that maybe by summer I will, been playing F2P RPG's and they are starting to get to me, I need some Online FPS action.

I don't remember any of the mechs in BT that were dual driver. The background says you wear a sensory mesh that gives you feedback and the big impossible thing is then an extension.

Some of the vehicles might have had gunner spots, but vehicles were pretty flimsy in the original BT rules.

If they didn't go nuts, you should be able to lock your torso to the legs so that distraction isn't present, mech moves the direction you are looking.

After that it is pretty easy. However many tons of mech you have doesn't stop or turn instantly (depending on whether they have skidding rules). Some impacts might hurt a little.

disclaimer: coded a BT mud a number of years ago and played a few of the games.

You obviously never met a 100 tonne tank waving 3 gauss cannon in your face... *grin*

Been trying to get this working but no joy so far (+ the control set up is confrusing as hell for trying to get a jstick working) particularly since I use a different keyboard layout to the (now) standard wasd...

there are some that play from TOG, dunno if they chose a server to always meet or not, I been staying away from the thread because it is depressing for me to keep reading all the fun, and I cannot play something I really like playing.

But, you could always look here MechWarrior: Living Legends - Forum for an answer to your problem or ask there.

Some Battlemaster mech's had dual cockpits, so that a company commander could focus on co-ordination while someone else piloted. There was also the chamaleon training mech, but these would be the exceptions and not the norm.
