Minetracks
 
Not sure why cart tracks don't work on our server. Seems like other people have them working, so it could be something we are doing wrong.
If anyone has any suggestions from links they can fnd as to why they are not working I would be glad to fix it. We are running the latest minecraft server with the latest hey0 mod.

Can it be some sort of permission you have to give to the groups in hey0? Something that is off by default?

yeah I suspect so, but I can't find it documented anywhere.

Both the tracks and the minecarts are listed on the itemspawnblacklist for the server.

Could that be the problem? Perhaps the blacklist is broken?

It was probably put there by someone when the carts wasn't working to stop people from laying out lots of track and then finding out the carts didn't work anyway. Perhaps even a default setting from hey0.

Done (I hope). I have removed everything but bedrock. That hopefully will allow minecarts, tracks, buckets and saddles to be used properly now. No idea why some of those were listed. Buckets are more likely to be restricted according to groups (so that some groups can't cart lava and water around). Any of those can be easily reinstated.

Great! Thank you for being my test subject.

A reminder to everyone that presently the "rules" for building mining carts and tracks is no different to building buildings. If someone has a claim to an area, you don't build there without discussing it with them first. This includes above ground and below ground tracks.

If you want to test out the one I made go to flibble.claim and its to the left of the house. Unfortunately you can't actually break the minecarts themselves for later use but you can push the existing minecart back along the track after your play time.
