Default Continuous cart running

Hi,
apologies in advance if someone has already posted such a solution before.

As we all know there are issues with continuously boosted carts, and there are a number of solutions out there - though many involve a piece of track missing to stop the cart temporarily.

I decided I didn't like that and so looked for another solution. I have attached a picture of the key section which basically swaps over two carts to give the appearance of continuous cart running for a train set type layout.

If you wish to visit it in person it is currently at Cheith.testtrack in the warps.

So cart 1 drops into cart 2 and pushes cart 2 out (whilst cart 1 stays stationary until cart 2 drops into it)?

Not quite.
Stationary cart (cart 2) gets boosted by moving cart (cart 1) running past it and goes straight on underneath the track occupied by cart 1.

Cart 1 goes over the track cart 2 is on and drops one block off that track onto the start point for car 2, stopping where it drops.

Ignore the second cart you see on the screen - it is part of a booster - and may be causing the confusion.

I found hitting carts into each other to be unpredictable - sometimes the hitting cart would stop, other times both carts carried on.

quite often 2 or more carts will clump together and occupy the same space, and boost themselves in an unpredictable way.

Create a small circle track with a block in the middle, then add 4 or 5 carts and watch then boost each other... then add a track next to it to use the super boosts...

Only problem with this is you cant be sure which way the boost will be
