Default Voxel Sniper

Well it looks like the FyreUK team are starting an Adventure Map for us all to enjoy, and they're starting from scratch by using Voxel Sniper to litterally create the world before they build. If you're interested in trying it yourself, the 25min clip also includes a guided tour by the Voxel Sniper mod devs which shows you how to use the commands and what to avoid.

FyreUK do some of the amazing time lapse videos where they make magnificent structures in a concentrated day or so's time.

For example:

Wow that is a really neat tool to make fantastic environments!

Having seen this I wonder if we could have a few people first build a suiting landscape in this tool, then import it to one of our servers running in creative mode, and then as a community project build something huge
(with some more planning than we usually have, a real layout that we keep to)

All that sand made me think about Mos Eisley for example, or we could build an enchanted forest full of huge trees with walkways between, or a famous castle or something else equally grand that requires the whole community to complete.

Honestly I think the Dwarven city was probably the least impressive build they've done. I think it would've been better if they'd gotten rid of a lot of the lighting away from areas the dwarves wouldn't be so that you got the black depths feel under the bridge. Also the best dwarven city has to be the remake of LOTR. They started with revendale, then made the mines of moria. It actually feels unbelievably impressive

I'm... going to have to find a computer to run a server on so I can try that.
