Oddly, they seem to have changed the naming format.

So here is Beta 1.9 pre-release 5: assets.minecraft.net/1_9-pre5/minec… (server is minecraft_server.jar)

Please help by checking if the bugs marked with [F] really are fixed minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Known_bug…

As you know I always forget at least one thing when upload a release... The "camera controls" (F6 etc) are not supposed to be there =/
Unless problems show up, I'll get around to changing World4 to this prerelease tonight. I'll have to look at the forums to see if there are enough changes to warrant restarting the world. If we do, I think it might be best to do it after the weekend. Even then, I'll give you a bit of warning because even though everyone knows World4 is temporary, I know some of you have been building some marvellous creations. Be sure to screenshot them and add them to the http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/miners-gallery/ .

It looks like mainly bug fixes, as promised.

Hmm... I had a try on my own server and found that the f6 "bug" gave me trouble when I went to the Nether and when I returned. Whenever I ran into blocks I started bobbing up and down.

Any of you have troubles? I am thinking of leaving it another day before changing World4 over, just to make sure there aren't any big bugs that will make it pointless. I realise that things like f6 and f5 will make it less "survivalish" but they are unintended featured, not part of the intended game (well f6 at least).

But I did breed baby sheep and pigs

Obsi will probably tell me off for this "the video's are menat for the video thread" but this is me rebelling HA!!!

Also while these guys are annoying, they show a new 1.9 feature that might be good on sanctuary, Mobs when the game is on creative mode are passive. in hindsight this might not be useful at all in sacntuary but it might mean a nother option is in the winds for servers.

heh, well I could move it there :P

It's mostly just so that it keeps the vids in the one place, so if people want to go looking for something, it's easier if they can just look in the one video thread for it... though vids specifically to do with a thread such as this, are best in the threads they relate to.

Interesting to see if they will be a feature or if it's an accidental bug

To give you guys a heads-up as to why we haven't changed World4 yet... we are discussing it in the Admin forum.

Thanks for the info. There have been a few questions online about whether we will be restarting a new map or just rolling over the current map. I'm happy either way but it looks like more people would like to roll over the current map from what has been discussed.
