Heaps of fun, always up for that kind of thing.
Thanks to Obsi for organising it all and little Obsi for helping with the map.

Have to do it all again sometime.

Thanks to everyone involved

Yes, thank you to all the players and Obsi. It was quite an event with many different tactics tried. I will leave it to Obsi to describe, but congratulations to the victors.

Pics and video here: The Kelly Gang Shootout

Did anyone raid the opposition's village? or did people stick to their own?

I think we should do this again... with some changes....

The gold swords were complained about bitterly so next time everyone can use iron swords, and since armour was also an issue, that should be provided in abundance, as it really is needed to be able to distinguish who is in what team.

Also there was some confusion over building rules, as I'd not really thought to clarify or work it out... so maybe next time there is a rule where building can only be done on the platform and no ground around can be modified....

I think it could also be good to have a round where you're allowed to destroy/modify the villages, to see what people get up to there.

Any other tweeks people would like?

While armour was an issue, a simpler fix to ensure all are easily identifiable would be to have everyone use a particular skin? That way even if they forget armour in the heat of battle there cant be any confusion.

Weapons, even the playing field for sure but I say stone swords for all. They last well and like any stick will do the job eventually

The problem with changing skins is that everyone would have to remember to do it, and to change back afterwards - and some people decide to just pop in and see what's going on, so would be unlikely to want to go to the effort of changing skins to play...... and sometimes there can be issues with the skin updating itself - so we could change them but them not actually show the change until after the event is over..... It's much easier just putting armour on.

Also I hadn't thought about the fact that without iron the Law had no buckets (though I think Admiral had mined some iron but lost it in lava)

At least the Kellys couldn't put buckets on our heads and steal our stuff. But yes, I had been thinking a water obstacle would have helped Law.

Well for the little bit Tyme and I were there, it was fun - must run it again!

last night Tyme started dropping in and out of game, until he couldnt get back in, then a few minutes later my connection died - turns out it was the router dieing (not as I had perviously thought my new machine).

Replaced the dead one with the old one, and it seems we are back up now...so...

Lets do it again!

mini-Obsi expressed a wish for a kid's version. Not sure how you would do that, but I am sure we would have to include explosions.

She wants to do the same thing, but without monsters and without pvp..... So we could do that at an earlier time one night, say 6-7pm - whatever would be best for everyone....

but I think us adults need another one too - so let me know when would be suitable
