Default Bukkit 1.1 is out

Bukkit has been updated for Minecraft 1.1 so it is time for a little private testing of our mods. Hopefully it won't take long to do and most of them will work right away. Then we will be able to update the TOG servers and you can play with all the advantages of 1.1 (and any downsides :/ )

I have done the testing and would do the update, except that Bukkit is reporting a number of major bugs still exist in their code with pistons and redstone. While this isn't super vital, it is an important part of the game for some people. I'll see what news comes from Bukkit in the next few days and make a decision as to whether to go ahead with an update or not.

I had a quick look and as far as I could determine the only problems were with block update detectors that use pistons.
Now that I know they exist I'll probably make use of them to make an auto farm.
However at present I'm not using them, so I would suggest if nobody else is using them at present we could update now and then when the bug is fixed update it again but let people know about the change

I'm not actually using any redstone yet, but plan to start wiring my gate soon. No update detectors there. I agree with the Admiral. Lets hear what others think as well.

The piston problem has to do with things like double piston arrangements and the redstone issue was redstone circuits still being active even after being broken. And those might only be the tip of the iceberg. They are fine in MC 1.1 but Bukkit 1.1 doesn't behave the same. Hmmm....I still need wool more than redstone, but not more than I'd like to keep everyone else's stuff working. From the thread you linked to, it sounds like they already have a dev build that fixes it, and are considering it for release since this is a big enough issue. Probably best to wait.
