Offer: Shifting chunks on Sanctuary

As has been announced in http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/...11pm-adst.html, Sanctuary will be offline tonight so we can import Bazz and Obsi's work from another server (Are there any objections....?).

Given the recent update returning snow to the worlds, this also means that we might be able to assist other players who wish to move their present constructions away from snow (since we can't move or stop snow at present).

The primary person this will advantage is Deep/Raeka as half of her "Windsor Castle" is now covered in snow, which is quite wierd. We have two ideas there - either copy the entire island to the ocean in the SE corner (and regen the original island for others to use), or move the construction slightly west. It appears in both cases, there have been no claims in those areas and no-one has built there that we have noticed. Tell us ASAP if either of these options are an issue.


Also tell us if you want to shift your constructions. This is a once-off option. The main problem is finding places in short notice that 1) don't interfere other players 2) don't ruin the landscape. This is why Deep's place is handy because it is on an island. Also, we have no guarantee that future updates (especially 1.2 with the jungle biome) won't change where the snow falls again.

Actually mine is the same as Deep I have half snow and half rain when it snows.

so either all snow or now snow works for me

You need to tell me ASAP (with a pic on the map, like above, only zoomed in more) where your place is, and where you want it moved to.

And I would like to point out, this would copy entire chunks, not just the buildings. The idea is to copy them, paste them, then delete the original chunks, which could then be regenerated as the original untouched landscape.

Frankly what happens to my place depends on what happens with Deep's

and the squares are where I would be happy with my place being if the weather is suitable! Hell I would evel like to be in the snow area but that would be too hard as I am on an island.

TBH I would miss Splat, but hey he is only a flight away!!!!!

but I do not mind where I am moved to, I would just like a decent "universal" weather pattern over my place

Can I just say people.... We've been saying for a long time that we've wanted to make sure spawn isn't in a pine tree area, because pine tree areas were likely to become snowed... you both have pine trees in your areas, that's why you have snow :Þ

Duck, I'll likely pop you in that unrendered chunk, since clearly nobody has used that area.

and like I said I have no problems even like Snow, but having 1/2 my place snow and 1/2 rain is like Deeps place a little odd. and yes my whole island had pines which is why I was confused with the weird weather!
