Hey guys,

I'm not sure the protocol behind building a home/base on the Frontier server. I was hoping to set up shop in the area circled below. I hope it's ok, let me know if its not.

You don't have to stake claims on frontier
Just try to not build where someone else seem to be building.

Cool no worries. I cleared that up over in game chat. Found a cozy spot

We don't mind people staking claims on Frontier, but it is not expected. I mean, Obsi just started building in the middle of those mountains. But to help people identify her presence there she has 1) placed torches there which show up on the night map and 2) added a name sign there which shows up on the map. Not quite a claim like on Sanctuary, but obvious enough that a little bit of investigation should tell a player that she is there. Therefore, if anyone wants to be a close neighbour, I recommend they talk to her about it.

And yes, the map includes fringe chunks that are over the border.
