The map height limit is being doubled !!! Imagine the building potential without the 128 block cap. This is the biggest advancement in the game for creative servers and we will see some mind blowing structures.

The number of potential block types has been raised to over 4000 ! Massive potential for all sorts of blocks.

The plan is more to make the airspace higher, but not the biome terrain generation (yet). I don't know what Jens plans for future biomes.
