Lego Minecraft news

Notch, Jon, Jens, Carl and Lydia are at LegoWorld doing an ad and press announcement about Minecraft Lego. Notch has even put up some images.

From the poster, it will be out in European Summer this year. The Mojang announcement(which doesn't say much) is at http://www.mojang.com/2012/02/16/the...n-waiting-for/

It can be ordered from Jinx:

and has its own facebook page:

Apparently, it is separable as 4 sections that can be rotated and recombined. The pieces are very small.

Espesh 17th February 2012 02:05 AM

Too small! I feel abit let down by this. Had the potential to be something quite interesting. Underwhelming is what it is. :(

It was always going to be abit gimmicky but it seems like its made more as a show thing to put on your desk than for any real imaginative play.

I honestly can't see what else you could do with it :p
That's about as fun as it gets ;)

But nothing stops you from rebuilding it a little when it sits on your desk, like a bonzai tree or a zen garden.

Yay, no height limit !!!

The small scale is completely unexpected. With expansion packs it would build a nice little world though. I'll buy two of this set and add on from there.

I think that it should be a Lego kit that comes fully assembled, then you break it down to discover what is hidden inside. The instructions to rebuild it will be quite interesting.

Somehow though, I don't think it will scale with my Castle, steampunk/Explorer and Technic Lego.

Small or not I know I'll still buy it. In fact small means I may find somewhere on my desk for it...

I love idea of it coming assembled so that you have to explore it. That would have been brilliant.

It sounded like a good idea...but seeing it now I am thinking...meh, underwhelming, as someone said.

Now if I had about 20 kits and a large desk...
