loged out had to go to shop got back to get "can't connect to minecraft.net" anyone els had or getting this ?

Yeah the login server has been down since this morning.

I had just died and was going back to get my gear, but had to relog and could not get back in.

Hopefully nobody is near where you died so the chunk you died in won't be loaded. The 5 min time out (or what ever the time period is before dropped items disappear) will only count down if the chunk is loaded, good luck!
