As requested :
*** ROUGH POST i'll add to this today *** (I'm a newb film-maker so tips and ideas welcome )
I use FRAPS
to film and often press F9
often to stop / restart filming. I end up ith about 6 short video segments to join for each Hunger Games event.
The audio is directly through Mumble
, no additional program needed.
to process the footage. It's free and easy to use.
VirtualDub download (at SourceForge) - virtualdub.org
and MPEG4 codec
In Virtualdub :
Append all the sections to make one video.
You can edit and cut sections from the video using the flag buttons.
I found the hardest thing was balancing Video/audio quality with filesize.
My current settings :
Select Full processing mode
Set the Target Quantizer to 11 or less
Set Audio to Mono
(rather than stereo) for a much smaller file while still having great sound.
Save the video as AVI
These settings give a reasonable result considering i have only made about 6 youtube videos.
I then upload the processed file to Youtube.
Post up your methods as I can use all the help i can get ... haha
