Nether Fortress
 

Didn't want to hijack Rhof's nether map posts, but I'm having alot of trouble finding the nether fortress.
There used to be a signed overland path to it from the main portal room, but I can't for the life of me find it and so much has changed.
If anyone knows where it is or how to get there I'd love to find out, I need some blaze rods and theres nowhere else to get them...

Is this some fortress other than the well labeled route to the "Stronghold"?

Yeh mate, the stronghold is located in the normal world, just linked through the network.
The Nether fortress is in the nether, they are prettymuch the same thing, just on the different worlds, except that you can only get blaze spawners in the nether fortress...

I accidently destroyed my old brewing stand and I have only one spare Blaze rod.
I want to start crafting some potions for PvP as I've never done it before and I'm also slightly scared by the amount of fire enchants roaming the wild west :oops:

A Nether fortress is the Minecraft generated construction in the Nether with tunnels and bridges and dungeons/spawn cages.

The stronghold is the Minecraft generated construction in the Overworld with tunnels, libraries and an End portal.

The two do not necessarily map to each other's co-ordinates, but in order to open an End portal on a new survival world, you will have to visit both these places.

I have three brewing stands setup in DiscordDave's NetherWart farm and Apothecary. It's on the nether map.

The route to the current Nether Fortress is described in this post, and reasons why a formerly accessible Fortress is no longer on the server in this post which precedes it in the same thread.

I have good news!! I found 3 more fortresses (bringing our total to 4) and 2 blaze spawners. I will post pics with coordinates in a new post.

PS. They are all a long way out but easy enough to get to. And they are all massive
