Okay, if anyone wants to set up two opposing sailing ships on Frontier over the weekend they can. If Henri approves them being near the Hunger City, they can be there (site 1). Otherwise, I recommend they go in the middle of the ocean to the west of the Wild West (site 2). There is a small set of islands there that can be used for any land component of events (though probably not big enough to be Tortuga).
As to the design of the ships, that is your choice, but I would recommend the following:
- the ships are side on to each other
- lots of wood
- lots of cloth sail
- limit the number of tnt cannons to about 3
- make the ships near each other.... say 20-50 blocks away from each other (so standard bows and tnt cannons will easily reach)
- position at most one dispenser for fire charges
- have ladders at a couple of positions so players can climb on board from the water
- have at least two masts with ladders so they can be archer high points
- be 10-20 blocks from the shore so the ammo can be reached
- have a place to store the "treasure" on each ship, perhaps behind a iron door in a stone room so tnt is ideal to blast into it
- have a hull with one or two levels, with multiple entrances
- allow easy maneouverability amongst the ship so no obstacle courses
My idea is that the tnt (and later fire charges) will be on shore. Players will have arrows and swords only. So players will have to swim ashore, get tnt and back to their ship. The objectives would be
- kill all of the opposing side
- destroy their ship
- steal their treasure
