Default Fire charges in Hunger City ?

I just need a consensus from the Admins and players about the general use of Fire Charges in Hunger City. I think they could add variety to our traps if kept well away from the wooden structures.

So firstly would need an ok from Sor and the admins ....

then general comments from players.

Cheers...

I have just created a new PvP Death Maze within the city

A fire charge is a small ball of flame which is fired out of a dispenser and can hit a player causing some damage. It is used in PvP and on many of the Hunger Games maps.

It can also cause damage to wood.

Aslong as we can keep the fire from spreading I see no problem.

Can mobs, passive or aggressive spread fire by being alight? What about if an arrow is shot through the flame-ball and catches?

If not then it's just a matter of where to aim it, I'm all for anything that makes this place more scary

Maybe if theres going to be alot of fire chargers or similar setups we should place a few more fountains around though...

Mobs on fire don't spread the flames.

We would restrict fire charges to certain city blocks away from wooden structures.

Fire charges are not easy to get, so there would not be that many around.

The problem is that fire charges have no real limit to their range and have a wildly chaotic firing cone. Being away from wood etc in the city doesn't stop it going further (and keeping on going until it hits something).

This is why they are by default banned on our servers.

They are only likely to be considered if they are in a enclosed area or only used for specific events where the world will be freezed and saved before the event, then restored after the event.
